About the role
Senior Fullstack Developer (.NET / Next.js): 6-Month Contract, Fully Remote
$300-350 per day | 6 months | Fully remote | Immediate start
We're looking for a senior fullstack engineer to build new features on a live, enterprise-grade event-management platform serving a large public-sector organisation.
You'll work directly with the platform's technical lead, who brings the brief ("we're rebuilding this feature" or "it should work like this"). You bring the engineering: the right pattern, a clean implementation design, and well-structured code across the backend and both frontends. You'll be handed outcomes, not step-by-step tickets, and the technical approach is yours to propose and defend. The platform is thoroughly documented, and you'll get up to speed through a structured handover.
The stack
* Backend API: .NET 10, EF Core 9, SQL Server * Admin panel: Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind 4, shadcn/ui * Public web app: Next.js 14, React 18, Mantine 7 * Platform: Azure (App Services, Functions, Storage Queues, Blob Storage, API Management, Key Vault), Azure AD / AD B2C, Azure DevOps CI/CD across DEV, UAT and PRO
What you would do
* Turn feature briefs into the best-fitting technical design that fits the existing architecture * Build features end-to-end across the API and both frontends, including data-model changes, through release and verification * Extend existing patterns, refactor when a design has outgrown its purpose, and propose "simpler" when that's the right answer * Implement integrations, identity and authorisation with the same design care as any other feature * Deploy through CI/CD, debug failing pipelines and work out whether an issue lives in code or infrastructure * Document your work so the next engineer understands both the design and the reasons behind it
What they are looking for
* An "I can do this" attitude: your first instinct is to work out how, then go and prove it * 5+ years of professional fullstack development, with deep, production-earned command of C#, EF Core and SQL Server, plus TypeScript, React and Next.js * Someone who designs before building, weighs what a decision will cost a year from now, and knows when simple beats clever * Strong ownership: you drive features to done without being chased and treat production behaviour as your responsibility * Comfort in a lead-plus-engineer setup: you take direction on the "what" and push back with better ideas on the "how" * Working knowledge of CI/CD and cloud environments (Azure preferred) * Good written English
