Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime is the only international, independent organization with a global mandate specifically to formulate a strategy aimed at reducing the global harms caused by organized crime while simultaneously building resilience to it. The organization specializes in transnational organized crime, conducting specialized research and analysis, and engaging in international policy making and network building.

• Work closely with the Director of the North Africa and Sahel Observatory to manage projects • Plan, implement and track the Observatory team’s work • Support timely, efficient and effective project implementation • Help manage project budgets and financial forecasts • Manage invoices and payments to suppliers and consultants • Ensure procurement documentation complies with GI-TOC policies and procedures • Coordinate narrative project reporting with the North Africa and Sahel team • Arrange virtual and in-person project meetings and events • Arrange travel for staff, consultants and external contributors in line with GI-TOC travel policy • Liaise with team members and grant liaisons regarding project delivery, procedures and audit requirements • Identify and evaluate new funding opportunities • Support preparation of project proposals and concept notes • Support extension and renewal of existing funding • Support GI-TOC initiatives, major conferences, events and other engagements • Support training of new team members in functional processes and reporting tools

• A degree in business administration/project management preferred • 5+ years of professional experience in administration or project management • Advanced budget management and financial forecasting skills • Fluency in spoken and written English • Proficiency in using the latest Microsoft software, especially MS Excel and MS Word • Financial management skills and experience • Good communication skills and a team player • Accuracy and attention to detail • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude • Proactive and able to think ahead • Motivated and enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced environment
