Senior Cloud Architect

Ripple is building financial infrastructure solutions for global institutions. This Senior Cloud Architect role leads infrastructure strategy and design for the Treasury Reconciliation platform, which handles billions of daily transactions. You will own architecture direction, mentor senior engineers, and establish infrastructure standards while remaining hands-on with critical technical work.

* Set and own infrastructure architecture direction, driving scalability and performance decisions across the platform * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior infrastructure engineers through design reviews, problem-solving, and expertise development * Establish infrastructure standards, patterns, and benchmarks for quality, performance, and system maintainability * Prototype and build critical-path components while ensuring routine implementation work is owned by the team * Make and be accountable for infrastructure tradeoff decisions with long-term cost, scalability, or maintainability implications

* BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience * 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and owning large-scale distributed infrastructure with demonstrated architecture ownership * 3+ years serving as a technical lead and mentoring engineers * Deep expertise with AWS and Kubernetes (minimum 3+ years with each) * Expertise in Linux and Windows server environments, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure * Proficiency with Terraform, ArgoCD, Bash, and Python * Experience with data infrastructure and processing technologies such as Spark and MSSQL * Track record building systems that power high-volume transactional workloads

* Experience in the finance space * Cybersecurity experience * Agile practices for reliable shipping
