Protective Services Agent

London, United Kingdom - Deliveroo

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our Global Safety and Security team protects our people, property, operations, and reputation across more than 40 countries.

We're looking for a Protective Services Agent to join our team. This is an office-based role in London, with up to 25% travel, mainly across the UK and Western Europe. You'll deliver protective operations for the people we protect in the UK and our international markets, working to established standards with direction from the Senior Protective Services Agent and the Protective Services Manager.

What you would do

You'll join the Protective Services function within Global Safety and Security, running daily movements in London and supporting advances and international operations as part of the detail. Here's what your day-to-day might look like:

- Run protective movements, independently in London and as a member of the detail on advances and international trips, from planning through to recovery.

- Put intelligence to work by taking Protective Intelligence briefings into every movement, applying the changes they call for, and escalating new information quickly.

- Support risk and vulnerability assessments with site surveys, photos, and field notes for residences, venues, and travel programmes.

- Work with our in-country network of vetted security providers, drivers, venues, and local partners, and report performance issues.

Read from job-boards.greenhouse.io, last seen 2d ago.

- Support crisis response, carrying out emergency action plans, taking part in drills, and capturing lessons in after-action reports.

- Earn trust and keep friction low by building relationships with the people we protect and their teams, so protection is something they rely on rather than tolerate.

What they are looking for

Essential

- Two to four years in protective, security, military, police, or other high-trust service operations, ideally including protective movements.

- Sound judgement when the plan changes, with the discipline to follow procedure and the sense to know when to adapt or escalate.

- Reliable delivery and discretion, with clear handovers, follow-through without chasing, and absolute care with sensitive information.

- Coachability, taking direction and correction in the field and turning feedback into better performance.

- A current SIA Close Protection licence, first-aid certificate (FREC 3 or equivalent), and full UK driving licence with a clean record. Existing right to work in the UK is required; we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

- Availability to travel up to 25% of the time, sometimes at short notice, and to work extended and after-hours during active operations.

- International operations experience, hostile environment awareness training (HEAT), and medical evacuation familiarity.

- Working knowledge of surveillance, access control, alarm monitoring, and residential security technology.

- A degree or equivalent professional experience.

What the Work Involves

This role is active and operational. It includes extended time on your feet and in vehicles, carrying equipment, driving in busy or poor conditions, working outdoors in varied weather, and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and travel across time zones. We are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments with any candidate at any stage of the process.

Why Join Us?

We aim to create a fair process that lets your skills shine. Find out more about how we hire at careers.deliveroo.co.uk/how-we-hire.
