Electrical Design Engineer

*\Job Category:\* Non-IT *\Experience Required:\* Experienced — 5 years *\Qualification:\* Any --- *\About the Role\* We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our manufacturing operations team. This role will be responsible for creating comprehensive electrical design documentation, layouts, and coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure seamless project execution in manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical systems design with exposure to hazardous area requirements and industrial environments. *\Key Responsibilities\* • Develop cable tray layouts, power distribution layouts, and detailed engineering drawings • Design lighting systems including layouts, distribution board schedules, circuiting, and fixture selection for classified/hazardous areas • Prepare single line diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical drawings • Create electrical equipment layouts, grounding systems, and lightning protection layouts • Design CCTV, access control, telephone, and public address system layouts • Prepare electrical Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) • Coordinate with Civil and Structural discipline (CSA) for support structures and foundations • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and maintain Interdisciplinary Check (IDC) documentation • Update and maintain 3D models in coordination with the design team • Ensure compliance with hazardous area classification requirements and relevant standards *\Requirements\* • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent • 3-5 years of experience in electrical design within manufacturing, oil & gas, or process industries • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting design • Knowledge of hazardous area classification and electrical equipment selection for classified zones • Experience with cable tray and raceway design • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment specifications, and technical drawings • Strong coordination and communication skills for multi-discipline projects *\Nice to Have\* • Experience with SP3D, MicroStation, or Revit software • Knowledge of 3D modeling tools for electrical design • Familiarity with international electrical standards (IEC, NEC, API) • Experience in greenfield or brownfield industrial projects
