Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software/AI Engineer Location: New York City, NY Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite We are an AI-first software company building modern software products powered by artificial intelligence. Backed by $23M in Series A funding, we are growing our engineering organization and looking for experienced engineers who want to have meaningful ownership over the technology and product. Our engineering team combines strong software engineering fundamentals with the latest advances in AI. Engineers have the opportunity to work across the core product, solve complex technical problems, and help bring new AI-powered capabilities into production. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our engineering team in New York City.

This is primarily a software engineering role , with an emphasis on designing and building scalable backend systems and product functionality. Because we are an AI-first organization, we are also looking for someone who has hands-on experience with LLMs, generative AI, or related AI technologies and is interested in applying those technologies to real-world software products.

The role will also include some customer-facing work. You may occasionally work directly with customers to understand technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, validate solutions, or help translate customer needs into product improvements.

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs powering the core product. Develop production software primarily using Python and Django . Build and integrate APIs and services that support product functionality and AI-powered capabilities. Work with AWS to deploy, operate, and scale production applications. Contribute to JavaScript-based application development as needed. Design and implement reliable, maintainable, and scalable software systems. Work closely with product and engineering teams to turn requirements into production-ready software. Integrate and experiment with LLMs and other AI technologies as part of the product. Evaluate new AI capabilities and determine how they can be effectively incorporated into production applications. Debug complex technical problems across application and infrastructure layers. Occasionally work directly with customers to understand technical problems, gather requirements, demonstrate solutions, and help resolve issues. Take ownership of projects from initial design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
