What you would do
* Research and develop AI/ML multi-fidelity approaches for non-parametric optimization processes (e.g., enabling the generation of highly detailed structures based on coarser finite element meshes).
* Participate in the development and implementation of structural optimization algorithms.
* Prototype and test implementation of algorithmic routines in a C++ and Python environment.
* Perform modeling within the context of the Finite Element Method (FEM).
* Investigate, evaluate, and test cutting-edge methods in the fast-moving field of AI and Machine Learning.
* Optionally, combine your internship with a subsequent Master's Thesis on advanced Generative Design topics.
What they are looking for
0 to 3 years
* Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace, Computational Engineering, or a related field.
* First practical or theoretical experience with CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) and FEM.
* Initial experience with AI, Machine Learning, or related data science technologies is preferred.
* Solid understanding of structural mechanics, mathematics, and numerical methods.
* Programming skills in Python and/or C++ are advantageous.
* Strong fascination for simulation-based optimization and generative engineering.
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset with high team spirit.
