This role involves creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks while ensuring designs meet manufacturing requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with production teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop cost-effective and manufacturable mechanical designs that support our operations. Required • Proficiency in SolidWorks including 3D modeling, assemblies, and technical drawings • Strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards • Experience conducting tolerance stack-up analysis • Demonstrated expertise in standard parts selection and vendor catalog usage • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Nice to Have • Experience with CAM software or CNC programming knowledge • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles • Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) • Project management experience • Certification in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) • Experience working with ERP/PLM systems • Knowledge of quality control procedures and inspection methods
