About the role
About the company and the role
An established EMS company with a factory near Pune. It runs PCBA and box-build lines and is scaling up its factory for the next phase of growth.
The role owns end-to-end manufacturing performance across SMT, THT, Box Build and Testing. This is not a routine production-management job: the client wants a leader with a proven record of raising productivity and yield, cutting rework and getting more out of existing machine capacity, while building the team and systems for scale-up.
What you would do
Drive manufacturing performance across SMT, THT, Box Build and Testing, delivering output, OEE, productivity and on-time delivery targets.
Improve FPY, RTY, customer PPM, COPQ and overall process capability through robust manufacturing controls and continuous improvement.
Lead Lean, TPM, Six Sigma and Kaizen programmes, bringing Japanese operational-excellence practice to raise throughput and cut conversion cost.
Build scalable manufacturing capability for NPI ramp-ups, capacity expansion and business growth.
Lead the Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, EHS and CI teams, ensuring compliance with IPC, ESD, ISO and customer requirements.
Manage direct labour cost and lift labour productivity across a 300+ person plant.
Key KPIs
OEE · FPY improvement · Rework reduction · Customer PPM · Labour productivity · Direct labour cost · Overall productivity improvement
Candidate profile Must have
20+ years in manufacturing, ideally in EMS / PCBA.
Hands-on depth across SMT, THT, assembly, testing and complete PCBA operational excellence.
A proven, measurable record in OEE improvement, yield enhancement, rework reduction, machine capacity utilisation and factory scale-up.
Strong leadership of large shop-floor teams (300+ people) and of functional heads under them.
