* Administer, support, and maintain enterprise Oracle Database environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance. * Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Databases across development, test, and production environments. * Perform core database administration tasks, including backups, recovery, patching, and security management. * Monitor and optimise database performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks. * Configure, administer, and support Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), monitoring database health, performance metrics, alerts, and automation. * Implement, manage, and support Oracle DataGuard environments, including switchover and failover activities to ensure business continuity. * Analyse AWR and ADDM reports to identify performance issues and implement optimisation strategies. * Provide technical administration and support for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.x environments. * Manage Oracle EBS patching, cloning, upgrades, and environment maintenance. * Troubleshoot Oracle Database, Oracle EBS, and WebLogic issues while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

I'm currently recruiting for a Database Systems Administrator to join a Professional Services firm into a high-profile public sector organisation, supporting and enhancing critical Oracle database and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale infrastructure, contribute to business-critical transformation projects, and secure a long-term contract with a flexible hybrid working model.

You'll bring strong Oracle Database administration experience along with a proven ability to support complex enterprise environments.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* 5+ years' experience as an Oracle Database Administrator. * Strong expertise in Oracle Database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and ongoing administration. * Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). * Proven experience managing Oracle DataGuard environments, including backup, recovery, switchover, and failover. * Strong database performance tuning skills, including AWR and ADDM analysis. * Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.x environments. * Experience with Oracle EBS administration, patching, cloning, and upgrades. * Strong troubleshooting skills across Oracle Database, Oracle EBS, and WebLogic. * Experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments is highly desirable. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
