Hiring on behalf of an established technology company seeking a Senior Linux Kernel Engineer to develop and optimise low-level software for advanced embedded systems.

Senior Linux Kernel Engineer - Requirements

* Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field. * 5+ years' commercial Linux kernel or low-level software development experience. * Strong experience developing Linux kernel drivers and embedded Linux systems. * Experience with Yocto, Buildroot or OpenEmbedded and embedded Linux boot processes. * Knowledge of device trees, memory management, concurrency and hardware/software integration.

Senior Linux Kernel Engineer - Nice to Have

* Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, CAN or DMA. * Strong Linux networking knowledge including TCP/IP, UDP and sockets. * GDB, JTAG, low-level debugging experience. * Real-time Linux or PREEMPT_RT experience. * Hardware bring-up and CI/CD or hardware-in-the-loop testing experience.
