We need a data professional like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions, from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.

As a Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your skills and experience to help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here, you’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced and agile environment. You’ll sharpen your skills in analytical exploration and data examination while you support the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

You Have:

* Experience with data engineering, pipeline development, data science, data analytics, machine learning, or software engineering * Experience with source control and collaboration software, including Git or Atlassian tools  * Experience writing software in programming languages, including Python * Knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL or GraphQL  * Knowledge of automation or scripting on Linux or Windows operating systems * Ability to obtain a Secret clearance * Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring 2027

Nice If You Have:

* Experience deploying analytics workloads on a platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS), including AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Databricks, SQL Data Warehouse, or machine learning service * Experience with distributed or parallel programming frameworks, including Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDA * Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks and services, including Terraform or CloudFormation * Experience developing and presenting complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences and senior leaders * Experience developing and deploying large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines * Experience working with integrated groups comprised of customer success managers, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and software engineers * Experience with DoD information systems * Master’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics * Cloud Development Certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Certification * Information Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 to $98,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
