Java Middleware Engineer

Experienced Java Middleware Engineer needed to design and develop secure, scalable RESTful web services that connect enterprise applications with modern digital technologies. The role focuses on Java backend development, middleware integration, and continuous application modernization.

·         Design and develop RESTful web services using Java EE and JAX-RS

·         Build and support backend integrations with modern enterprise applications

·         Develop solutions using Spring Boot, Spring Integration, and Spring Web Services

·         Support synchronous and asynchronous programming with proper error handling

·         Work with application servers, Linux environments, Git, Maven, and OpenShift

·         Integrate with mainframe CICS containers and channels using JCA connector

·         Support continuous feature delivery and modernization efforts

·         16+ years of total work experience

·         12+ years of core Java backend development

·         Strong experience with Java Annotations, Generics, Reflection, Inheritance, OO Design, NIO, and Bean Validation

·         Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Web Services, Maven, Git, Linux, and JIRA

·         Experience with Tomcat, Jetty, or Undertow application servers

·         Experience with OpenShift, CI/CD practices, and mainframe CICS/JCA connector integration

·         Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
