Sample interview questions
How do you structure technical discovery for a new enterprise prospect?
I begin by identifying the business objective, current architecture, security risks, stakeholders, and success criteria. I then validate the technical pain points with the practitioners who will use the solution and align a mutual evaluation plan with measurable outcomes.
Describe how you would run a proof of value for a container-security platform.
I would agree on a limited, representative scope, define success metrics such as vulnerability reduction, policy compliance, or developer workflow impact, and establish owners and timelines. During the POV, I would provide enablement, collect evidence against the agreed metrics, and finish with an executive-ready results review tied to the customer’s priorities.
How do you explain the value of hardened container images to an executive stakeholder?
I focus on business outcomes: reducing exposure to known vulnerabilities, lowering remediation effort, supporting compliance, and enabling engineering teams to ship safely with less delay. I support the message with the customer’s current risk profile and measurable operational impact rather than relying only on technical detail.
How have you used MEDDPICC in a complex sales cycle?
I use MEDDPICC to map metrics, economic buyers, decision criteria, decision process, pain, champions, and competition. This helps identify gaps early, organize technical validation around the real decision process, and coordinate effectively with account executives and partners.
What would you do if a customer requests a product capability that is not currently available?
I would clarify the underlying requirement and desired business outcome, assess whether an existing workflow or integration can meet the need, and communicate limitations transparently. If the request is strategic, I would document the use case and impact, engage product and engineering, and set realistic expectations without committing to an unapproved roadmap.
