A fast-growing, founder-led consumer food brand is hiring a Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Gurugram, Delhi NCR. This is a hands-on business leadership role for an operator who has scaled an FMCG, food and beverage, frozen foods, QSR, retail or D2C business, and who can own manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, P&L and growth across retail, online, B2B and emerging channels.
You will partner directly with the founders to take the business from a founder-led setup to a process-driven, profitable organisation, building the systems, SOPs, teams and infrastructure needed for the next phase of growth.

What you would do
Business Growth and Strategic Leadership
- Drive the overall business strategy and execution roadmap to deliver aggressive growth targets - Build and scale the organisation from a founder-led setup to a process-driven business - Identify new growth opportunities across retail, distribution, online, B2B and emerging channels - Partner with the founders on long-term business planning, expansion strategy and profitability improvement - Lead annual operating plans, budgeting, forecasting and business reviews
Operations and Manufacturing Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end operations including manufacturing, procurement, logistics, warehousing and distribution - Establish scalable operational processes and performance metrics across the organisation - Drive productivity improvement, cost optimisation and operational efficiency initiatives - Lead capacity planning and infrastructure expansion, including manufacturing facilities and operational assets - Ensure timely execution of plant setup, commissioning and expansion projects
Supply Chain and Inventory Management
- Build robust supply chain systems that support rapid growth while minimising wastage and stock-outs - Optimise procurement, vendor management, inventory planning and demand forecasting - Improve working capital efficiency through strong inventory controls and supply chain planning - Strengthen distributor and channel fulfilment capabilities
Profitability and Financial Management
- Drive revenue growth while protecting contribution margins and profitability - Run the business on data through KPI dashboards and performance reviews - Improve cost structures across operations, procurement, logistics and support functions - Identify and execute initiatives that improve EBITDA and cash flow
Process Excellence and Compliance
- Design and implement SOPs across functions to improve consistency, accountability and efficiency - Establish governance frameworks, internal controls and compliance processes - Build reporting structures and management systems that enable faster, better decisions
Commercial and Market Expansion
- Support the development and scaling of new business verticals and revenue streams - Work with sales and marketing to drive market penetration and customer acquisition - Strengthen channel partnerships and distribution networks across geographies - Keep operational capability aligned with commercial growth plans
What they are looking for
- 10-18 years in operations, business leadership, supply chain, manufacturing or general management - Proven experience scaling a consumer, FMCG, food and beverage, frozen foods, QSR, retail or D2C business - Demonstrated success taking a business from early-stage growth to scaled operations - Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, cold chain / supply chain management and distribution networks - Track record of driving revenue growth while improving profitability and operational efficiency - Experience setting up processes, SOPs, governance structures and performance management systems - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability
PREFERRED INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
- FMCG and packaged foods - Frozen foods and dairy - Food and beverage, QSR and café retail chains - D2C and omnichannel consumer brands
