Location: UK based, fully remote

* Lead the strategy, standards and roadmap for 300+ production databases, predominantly SQL Server hosted on Azure.

* Provide hands-on database administration, performance tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting.

* Own backup, restore and disaster recovery processes, ensuring reliability and resilience.

* Optimise database performance, configuration, deployment processes and cost efficiency.

* Lead and develop the DBA team, acting as the senior technical authority across Engineering and Platform Operations.

* 8+ years' hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.

* Strong experience with Azure SQL, including deployment tiers and migration strategies.

* Proven ability to define database standards, strategy and long-term technical direction.

* Experience managing backups, disaster recovery, performance tuning and production releases in a 24/7 environment.
