About the role

Hudl is a sports technology company that builds tools for coaches and athletes to capture video, analyze data, and share highlights. As a Senior Imaging Engineer, you will own key aspects of image quality across multi-camera systems, ensuring cameras automatically capture high-performance footage that powers computer vision, tracking and insights for teams worldwide.

What you would do

* Evaluate and improve camera systems by measuring, analyzing and improving how optics, sensors and image signal processing (ISP) perform across computer vision applications * Test and qualify hardware by evaluating lenses and camera modules against optical and environmental specifications, running qualification tests and partnering with external suppliers * Support ISP tuning by tuning exposure, white balance, tone mapping and dynamic range, while contributing to camera control and 3A algorithms * Collaborate and lead by contributing to imaging requirements and trade-offs alongside product managers, owning projects end-to-end and mentoring fellow engineers

What they are looking for

* Deep experience in imaging, camera systems or optical engineering, ideally working on shipped hardware products, with strong understanding of optics, image sensors and ISP pipelines * Practical hands-on lab expertise measuring image quality including MTF/SFR, noise, color and distortion using lab equipment such as collimators, test charts and climate chambers * Proficiency with Python for analysis and tooling, as well as C/C++ on embedded Linux * Clear communication skills explaining technical trade-offs to non-specialists and sound decision-making with incomplete data

* Experience developing camera control algorithms such as auto exposure and auto white balance * Experience with camera calibration including intrinsics, extrinsics and distortion models, and multi-camera or stitched systems * Experience partnering with suppliers and manufacturing partners on specifications, sample evaluations and issue resolution * Familiarity with embedded camera platforms and ISP tuning tools

What comes with it

Base salary range €60,000–€101,000 EUR, eligible for long-term incentive (LTI) award, bonuses based on individual and company performance. Benefits include flexible vacation time above statutory requirements, company-wide holidays, remote work options, paid sabbatical every five years, medical and retirement benefits depending on location, Employee Assistance Program, and employee resource groups.
